The Company uses innovative mRNA Display Technology to generate highly selective affinity ligands as reagents for its partners in the life science industry.
Its bioprocessing products enable an improved efficiency of current bioprocessing procedures. In addition, the Company is developing novel biotherapeutics that offer the ability to be more cost effective, safer and less toxic. COSMIX intends to utilize its proprietary approaches to build its own proprietary drug pipeline.

COSMIX is focused on products and services for the life science industry, and COSMIX Therapeutics LLC in the US, focused on the development of D-peptides as therapeutics.

Corporate Structure


COSMIX is a privately held biotechnology company. Originally founded in 1997 as a spin-off of the GBF by Prof. Dr. John Collins, the VC funded company was sold to Gryphon Therapeutics, Inc., USA in 2003.
Ownership of the company changed again during a Management-Buy-Out end of 2005. COSMIX molecular biologicals GmbH as well as the newly established COSMIX Therapeutics LLC are owned by COSMIX Verwaltungs GmbH which is founded by private investors.
The overall structure was chosen to serve investors, customers and other partners in the most appropriate way. The presence of COSMIX in Europe and USA allows to address much better the requirements for a global business.
